Spring is in the Air!
Pretty Glassware for Spring.
When my husband and I moved into our home four years ago, we made the decision to purchase a new set of dishes. The set we received as a wedding gift had been dwindled down to a handful of bowls and we were eager to have something fresh for our new home!
We made the decision to choose a white pattern as we knew it would be easy to create a new look anytime we wanted. I had visions of pretty colored table linens and beautiful colored glassware!
I thought it would be so fun to have special colors for spring, and definitely some pink for future Mother’s Day celebrations!
Our Starting Point
We knew we wanted white – that part was a given. But we didn’t want anything “too” basic as we love little splashes of personality!
With that in mind chose:
- A 4-piece stoneware basic set by American Atelier called “Olivia” that was white with just a hint of a faded brown ring. (Personality!)
- A lovely little salad plate by Maison Versailles called “Colette” (a darling little detailed floral pattern made it a must).
- And finally, a single serving salad or pasta bowl by Pfaltzgraff called “Trellis White” to finish it off.
We knew our choices would be used for our special dinners, but could also be used at any time as they are all microwave and dishwasher safe, and made of durable stoneware!
Truth be told… if we hadn’t wanted to go with all white, I would have chosen the Trellis White 4-piece basic set instead of all white because it would look so cute with denim accents! (Think Farmhouse/Country Kitchen), but I decided to stick with my white!
Pretty Glassware for Spring
We’ve been using our pretty dishes for special occasions since we moved in and it’s always such fun!
But it wasn’t until recently that I remembered my idea of adding Pretty Glassware for Spring! I started thinking of color combinations and accessories I could add and had a ball!
Keep reading to see what I came up with.
Even though the first one doesn’t have any color… I’m kind of obsessed with it! It’s so pretty and would go perfect with our little salad plates.
Pretty Glassware for Easter
How pretty are these “Easter” combinations? I love the way the glassware colors pop!
I Found these cute Easter items too!
Pretty Glassware for Mother’s Day
The whole reason I was reminded that I wanted Pretty Glassware for Spring was that I saw my Grandmother’s pink Depression Glass Pitcher up high in the cupboard. (Both sides of my family have some of these special items).
I think these pretty pink glass items would be perfect for a Mother’s Day celebration and would blend well with existing Depression Glass items.
And a few more Pretty Glassware for Spring colors…
I loved these “Trestle” glasses by Fitz and Floyd. So many pretty colors! Can you envision the red at Christmas time? What a cute table that would be with rich green placemats! (OOPS, wrong season… but still pretty!).
(Oops, wrong season section)…
Which Color Do You Like Best?
Which color do you like best? Which Easter combination do you like best?
It’s so hard to choose!
Personally, I am drawn to the pink, but I also really like the multi-color bowl set. (Can I have one of each set?).
Did you see the Christmas items and think, “Too soon!” but secretly love it? (It’s okay, you can tell me).
I hope you’ve enjoyed this fun little post. I had a lot of fun selecting all of the items and combinations. I can’t wait to use my special dishes again!
Happy Spring!
