Make it a Meaningful Monday!
Don’t hate me but I am loving this Monday. Why? Because I realized “when it rains, it pours” doesn’t always have to relate to something negative. (Here’s a little Monday motivation for you).
I love words and definitions. Some refer to Mondays as mundane, manic, or “meh”. But from here on out, Mondays will be “Meaningful Mondays” here on Kimberly’s Joy.
It was just a normal Monday…
Today started out as a normal day. I went online to amazon.com to do some research for an upcoming online Christmas gift shop project (yay) and to order toilet paper. I do this because we have decorative toilet paper holders that are too small for all of the new “Mega” rolls that are being sold in the local supermarkets. (Sigh/eye roll). I also do this for our favorite Safeguard soap and the hubby’s shaving cream because they are both items that our local stores are not carrying! (Frustrating when you have a favorite!)
I clicked on “buy again” and there it was. Nope, not the toilet paper, but the bulk order of Travel Size Hotel Shampoo and Conditioner bottles we had ordered for Friends Feeding Friends last year, and before I knew it, my Monday had turned into a “Meaningful Monday”.
You’re thinking, “What does that have to do with rain and it pouring, Kim?”
Well… my friend Shelley introduced me to Friends Feeding Friends last year. She is one of the BIGGEST hearted people I have ever met (my kinda people!) and today is sadly the anniversary of her best friend Kelly’s death. A day that is VERY hard for her every year.
I knew that “buy again” order did not pop up on my screen by accident!
So, I placed a reorder for Friends Feeding Friends to send a little love Shelley’s way in memory of “her” girl Kelly.
When it rains it pours.
First, my little order helped others in need.
Next, it brought me unexpected sunshine too (helping others is the best!).
But most importantly, it brought Shelley a bit of sunshine on a very hard day.
How can you make your Mondays meaningful?
It doesn’t “have” to cost anything… reach out and touch someone… lift someone up. Easy-peasy.
