Take a moment to enjoy these Self-Care Quotes!
Self-care Quotes and Smiles go hand in hand. Why? Because sometimes Self-Care means simply taking a moment to breathe, to be still, and to just “be”!
My friend Gabby loves the term “fill up your cup” and I think it is a good one! Filling up your cup, in my mind, means allowing yourself to do the things you love to do!
I’ve been working a little too much. I have big goals, so it takes a lot of hours, but today, I need a break.
Are you Self-Care Aware?
It’s not always easy to be “Self-Care Aware” (yes, I just made that up).
We don’t have an inner body alarm system that shoots out alerts saying, “Time to take care of YOU now.” But we do have tell-tale signs.
We might be tired, feeling over-worked, over-scheduled, or maybe even over-included in things.
My red flag came yesterday when I was saying hello to my husband with my FaceTime App. Yikes.
Radiate Sunshine… that’s what I do.
I don’t know of anyone who likes the “selfie” view on Face Time, but I REALLY don’t like it as it points out every single flaw.
However, it reminds me (yet again), that I need to take better care of myself. How can I radiate sunshine, if I’m not healthy?
I need to practice what I preach and put better “Self-Care” actions into place! I have finally worked out a few times in the last week and guess what I’m doing today?
I’m working on Self-Care Quotes and Smiles. Why? Because quotes fill up my cup and because I need an easier workload for a day. Oh, and being able to share quotes and radiate that sunshine? Well, you know I love doing that!
Self-Care Takes Practice.
I may not be able to look like that “young girl” seen above, (darn it!), but I know I can look and feel much better IF I continue working on my “work-life balance”!
I hope YOU are remembering to take care of yourself too!
Please enjoy this collection of “Self-Care Quotes and Smiles”. I collected the quotes and created these graphics just for YOU!

Take Care of Yourself Today!
Even though I compared my current self to my “10 years ago” self, I am AWARE that people age (just so we’re clear). But I think the young Kim Funk is a good photographic reminder that there is a healthier me inside. 🙂
I can laugh at myself and the silly pictures I take with my kids and my husband – wrinkles, a few extra pounds, and all, and I can look at this blog and all of the writing and learning I’ve done in the last year and give myself a solid HIGH FIVE. I may be little worn out but I’m kicking some blogging “booty” at the same time! (I am a work in progress).
I hope you can do the same and I hope you enjoyed the Self-Care Quotes and Smiles!
Have a great day and if you have a quote or story to share… please do!
You know I love stories.
Fondly, Kim
P.S. – Feel free to “pin it” if you’re a Pinner! 🙂 I appreciate the shares.
